Potterton Prima F 50 Replacement

Postby Lee645 on Sun Apr 26, 2009 7:28 pm

I currently have a Potterton Prima F 50 boiler, approx 18yrs old and would like to change it for a modern, condensing equivilant. The heating/hot water is a vented Y-Plan system, with a fairly new cylinder and controls. I want to leave all this as it is and just replace the boiler and programmer. My house is a 3 bed semi with only one bathroom and obviously a kitchen. We do not have any issues with lack of hot water and I really do not want a combi. I am not looking for cheap, but want a reliable, efficient boiler that will last. What boiler would you recommend as being best as a direct replacement? Thanks in advance

hi
the nearest replacement would be a Potterton Suprima HE 50FF
some pipe alterations might be neccessary but its the direct replacement for the Prima 50
here is a link to the Suprima http://www.bhl.co.uk/product/POTTERTON_SUPRIMA_50_HE_EXCFLUE
