I may have posted this topic in the wrong place. Here goes.
I had a Baxi 105 HE combi boiler installed in May. My radiators are 4 years old. Two of them have Siemens TRV's on them ,also 4 years old. The other five radiators are Honeywell TVR's which I believe are 10years+ . When I put my boiler on last week there was a hammering on different rads at different times causing all the radiators to vibrate. If I just put the 2 Siemens on there isn't a problem. As soon as I put the Honeywell older TVR rads on one of them will start to hammer but always a different one. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all. The plumber who installed the system says I need to replace all the Honeywell TVR's and will need new inhibitor etc:. Could someone please give me their opinion on this . Before my new combi was installed I didn't have any trouble at all and I can't understand why my plumber says it's the TVR's causing the problem. I have bled the rads.
Many thanks
B
