how to mend a boiler boulter buderous 500-24c

My Boulter Buderus Boiler 500-24c is flashing up 6A on the DBA control unit it states in the manual that this is due to the burner not being ignited or insufficient ionisation current? The burner seems to fire up and glow for a while then reverts to flashing 6A on the DBA control unit again, can anyone please give me any information on how to correct this problem?
