baxi 80e CH will not turn off

Postby pamawds on Tue Feb 16, 2010 5:29 pm

I have a Baxi 80e that is continuously running the central heating.
To turn off I have to switch off the power...which means no hot water.
It uses the standard timer swich (on the boiler) but even the 0, T & 1 settings have no effect.
Any ideas? Do you think the timer is gone, and can this be tested easily?
Thanks

It could be a fault with the boiler's PCB.

The micro switch assembly is faulty on the water section. The boiler thinks there's water demand all the time. Common on this boiler.
