Intesa Boiler Problem

Postby dansleeth on Mon Feb 09, 2009 7:39 pm

Hello all, I have an INTESA boiler (TP30 I believe) which is apparently a rebadged Ariston.

I have had problems with it for ages. First of all it just keps witching off after running hot water and then cold soon after. Then we had the fume light pop up on it. At that point we got our plumbing friend in and he suggested a new Fan for it. We ordered a new fan (£60) and it worked for two days after that (actually hotter than ever before with the temp turned down lower than we usually had it). Now that fume light has come back on again.

This is really stressful as it has cost a lot to get new parts and it now doesn't work again. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be??

Also, just looking through the manual thing, does there need to be an air intake pipe going outside?

Thanks a lot for any help you can give! :D

With the new fan, the boiler seems to work for a bit, the rads get really hot and the boiler itself gets pretty hot, but then then fume light comes on again and it stops heating the water...
