top up heating

Postby guitoun on Tue Feb 24, 2009 7:56 pm

Hi,
I am the owner of a biasi M90E.24S boiler. Recently the pressure started to drop down for no apparent reason and needed to be refilled on a daily basis.
After testing the system (leaks, overflow, stop over night, flushing all the system ...) the plumber couldn't figure out the problem.
He then installed a pressure valve in place of the feeding tap (meant to top up).
This means that the heating system will now be refilled automatically!
I know noticed some ventilation noises in the boiler since then.
Do you think this solution is appropriate?
What in term of energy consumption if the system is auto refilled?
Can it break down?
Thanks in advance.

hi
i dont think a system that auto refills would neccesary solve your problem, there is obviously a bigger problem with your system
id start saving for a new boiler because it sounds like your isnt going to last much longer
