Hi there. We have moved into a 1930's house and have E7 meter with Creda heaters, I say heaters...there are two!

I wanted to change the meter to a standard rate as we don't use the heaters, cannot afford central gas heating at the moment and have an open fire so if need be will get some gas heaters in...However i'm not sure if that will effect the boiler/electric shower. You see from what I can make out its a boiler of some sort with an immersion heater and timer fitted to it.

The only paper work i have states its a "dir cylinder foamed (Telford) 574455 (that may be billign ref?) T3618DF...?????

Can anyone help me as Southern Electric cannot tell me if I can do this & leaving on my own with no money for a plumbe rI just need some quick words of wisdom?!

Please help!!!

It would be greatly appreciated

just use the immersion as normal, disconnecting the storage heaters wont affect the hot water . :)
only use the top immersion on the cylinder for economy
