White pipe too flexible

Postby psmith on Mon Feb 16, 2009 3:13 pm

Hello. I've bought myself a few metres of 15mm white overflow pipe and found that, for my needs, it is too flexible. Am I right in thinking that grey pipe is more rigid? I've been around the DIY shops of Brighton and haven't found any rigid grey pipe to play with. The Hep2o stuff looks grey enough in the pictures but advertised itself as flexible.

Can anyone help me find the most rigid 15mm (or 22mm if necessary) plastic pipe? It needs to be able to take a bit of weight without bending much.

Speedfit pipe should never be connected directly to a boiler.

Hi

Plastic pipe should never be subjected to undue weight or compression. I would certainly recommend that in such a situation that any pipe is also supported by clips.
