No need to buy a complete new bathroom suite Pat why not just replace the toilet it would be easy to find an ivory toilet to match with the rest of the bathroom suite and a lot quicker to do than changing the bathroom suite. All you will need to do is turn off the water supply unbolt the system from the wall and then refit new w.c. When you replace a bathroom suite you may well have to make good after fitting the bathroom suite also you may have to retile if the new bathroom suites doesn’t cover all of your tiled area.

I agree, to try and find a replacement cistern lid would be very difficult and after going to all that trouble there is no telling how much longer the cistern would last before that would need to be replaced. Toilets are not that expensive anyway and to be quite honest some sites simply sell the cistern which will save you even more money and hastle since the pan is bolted to the floor. Depending on the type of cistern you have i.e. close couple you could replace it with pretty much anything I reckon though best to make sure by speaking to the manufacturers. The biggest manufacturer would have to be Ideal Standard wo have plenty on information on thier website http://www.idealstandard.com and you can always ask technical questions and one place I have come across that stocks a lot of KIdeal Standard products and individual cisterns is IQ Living http://www.iq-living.co.uk/Toilet-Ciste ... b_01_12_09 so there should be something that would be similar to your current pan. If yuo really want to splash out though you could just get a whole new bathroom. The Ideal Standard Concept range looks pretty slick and modern http://www.iq-living.co.uk/Bathroom/Bat ... _web_01_04. Hope this helps.
