Shower trays

Postby LightningTony on Wed Jan 14, 2009 9:31 am

I am thinking of installing a Mira Flight rectangular shower tray for fitting into a tiled corner and using just shower curtains rather than panels and doors. Is the 2 upstand version of the product suitable? From the pictures it looks exactly like the 0 upstand version, which is why I am confused.
Also the right hand / left hand terminology is ambiguous. Where are the upstands on the right hand version? ie does it fit into a right hand corner with therefore the upstands on the righthand version actually being to front and left, or vice verca?
Thanks Tony

this is what you would get, using a shower curtian would be suitable with a 2 upstand tray just make sure your shower curtain is long enough

Ultimately it depends on which shower trays you have as to how it is fitted but one site I have come across that has quite a few product installation downloads is IQ Living. Check out the following product which has a full installation guide http://www.iq-living.co.uk/content/ebiz ... lation.pdf and of course if you haven't got your shower tray yet then there is a full range on here from standard trays with or without legs and upstands (for tiling purposes) and the new slimline 40mm models and coloured trays which look pretty stylish. The customer service team are always pretty good if you need any questions answering and all the manufacturers phone numbers are listed to. Hope this helps.
